Do you have Starbucks’ ready-to-drink Vanilla Frappuccinos in your fridge? You might want to take a closer look at them as these beverages may contain pieces of glass. Pepsico recalled 300,000 bottles or 25,200 cases of Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino. The recall occurred after the Food and Drug Administration detected glass in them.
The chilled coffee drinks are in a 13.7 Fl Oz (405mL) container. They have the UPC code on the bottles is 0 12000-81331 3. These products come with expiry dates on March 8, May 29, June 4, and June 10. The company distributed these beverages across the United States. Not at Starbucks retail locations but at several merchants nationwide. This includes Target, Amazon, Walmart, and Safeway.
The FDA categorized this recall as class II. It means that exposure to these products may cause reversible adverse health consequences. Starbucks assured that the removal of these products from the marketplace is underway. It added that the company commits itself to a high level of quality in the products they serve.
The company said that a quality experience for its customers is its top priority. Adding that they always act with plenty of caution. This is not the first Starbucks coffee drink that Pepsico recalled. In September 2022, the company recalled its Starbucks Vanilla Espresso Triple Shot. It happened after the FDA reported that the product might contain “foreign material.”
