Sprouts Farmers Market has announced it is recalling Gyro Family Kits. The supermarket chain said Reser’s Fine Foods Inc. notified them about a possible Salmonella risk from the tzatziki sauce.
The Gyro Family Kits come in plastic trays with clear lids. The meal kits are identifiable by their product name and UPC Code 20594800000. Customers can also check their Use By Dates – 12/29/24 to 01/07/25.
Reser’s Fine Foods distributed the meal kits to Sprouts grocery stores in 23 states. They’re sold in stores in Alabama, Arizona, and California. Kits were also sent to Sprouts’ branches in Colorado, Delaware, Florida, and Georgia. They were also sold in Kansas, Louisiana, and Maryland. Sprouts in Missouri, North Carolina, and New Jersey also carried the meal kits. So did stores in New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania. South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas consumers should watch out for these kits. They were also sold in Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming.
Sprouts Working with Reser’s
Sprouts Farmers Market released a statement emphasizing its commitment to consumer safety. The company apologized for the inconvenience. It also said it’s working with Reser and regulatory authorities to address the issue. This is the latest recall by Reser’s Fine Foods. The manufacturer recalled a limited number of meal kits in October.
What Consumers Can Do
