Wemfg has issued a voluntary recall of its multi-purpose children’s helmets. This covers around 6,500 units of helmets. The company decided after reports the helmets don’t follow safety standards.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported the non-compliance. It stated the imported helmets fail to follow positional stability regulations. It also didn’t meet specific impact labeling and certification requirements. This increases the risk of head injury.
There are no reported injuries related to this issue.
Wemfg children’s helmets are an exclusive Amazon product. The retail giant sold them from April 2024 to July 2024. The helmets had a price range of $26 to $32.

What Should Consumers Do?
Wemfg and Amazon are reaching out to confirmed buyers of the helmets.
The protective gear maker is advising consumers to stop using the defective helmets. They should also contact the company to receive a full refund.
Wemfg has issued several steps consumers should do. First, they should cut off the helmet straps. Next, they should take a photo of the detached straps and email it along with their Amazon order number. Consumers should address the email to 961837339@qq.com.
Wemfg says consumers should dispose of the helmet after submitting the photo.
