Car Accident
Our client was a civilian employee of a police agency working overnight at a traffic diversion on Interstate 4 during construction downtown. As he sat in his vehicle with the warning lights flashing to warn drivers of an upcoming merge from the left lanes toward the right lanes, his vehicle was struck by an inattentive driver traveling in excess of 60 miles per hour. The force of the crash was so significant that it stopped our client’s heart and killed him instantaneously. Sadly, he left a wonderful wife, grown children, and grandchildren, and his loss continues to be deeply felt. Fortunately, the defendant carried a large amount of insurance coverage for this fatal crash, and that coverage was tendered to the client’s surviving wife without the need for protracted litigation.
