Clark Associates has recalled high chairs sold in the United States and Canada. These chairs were under their Lancaster Table & Seating brand. The company revealed the high chairs could break and become a fall hazard for young children.
There were reportedly three claims stating the chairs broke while in use. The child using the chair fell although there were no reports of injuries.
What are the Affected Products?
The products are the Lancaster Table & Seating high chairs. The items come in black and mahogany colors, with options for a walnut or natural finish. Some of the high chairs were ready to assemble while others were already assembled.
The problematic high chairs were all manufactured in China. A “Made in China” sign’s found on the product’s warning label. Consumers can find the label on the underside of the seat. It’s also printed on the seatback.

The Restaurant Store sold the defective high chairs. They are also available at www.therestaurantstore.com and at www.webstaurantstore.com. They were available from January to September 2022. The products cost anywhere from $43 to $65.
What You Should Do
The company advises consumers to stop using the chairs. They should also return them posthaste to any Restaurant Stores. They have branches in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
Clark Associates will provide a free replacement for the high chair. Affected consumers can also get a refund through store credit.
