Diamond Visions ordered the recall of 6,000 Screaming Plush Monkey Toys in brown, blue, and pink. This is due to choking risk, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The monkey toys, which are the Model TM-3280, are 23 inches long. They make a scream-like sound when you press the front paw. The front paws of these toys have Velcro. This makes the monkey’s arms wrap around a customer’s neck. The toys also have Diamond Visions Inc. printed on a tag.
The company sold the toys at independent hardware and variety stores nationwide. They started selling them from September 2021 through November 2022 for around $6.
Diamond Visions ordered the recall because the eyes on these toys can detach. This will pose a small-part choking hazard to children.
At present, the company has not yet received any reports of incidents of injuries. Moreover, Diamond Visions is not facing legal action over the recall. But Top Class Actions follow this kind of recall. That’s because sometimes these cases can lead to class action lawsuits.
What Should Consumers Do?
Diamond Visions urges consumers to immediately take the recalled toys away from kids. This way, the children won’t be at risk of small-part choking. Consumers should also contact the company right away. This is to get instructions on how to receive a full refund. The screaming monkey toys have a recall number of 23-194.Consumers can contact Diamond Visions at 866-600-0722. They can accommodate calls from 8 am to 4 pm, from Monday to Friday.
