What Should Consumers Do?
Almost everyone knows that the bacteria in the flour die when you cook or bake it. But you can still get sick eating foods that contain raw flour.
Healthy persons infected with Salmonella Infantis often experience nausea, diarrhea, and fever. They can also feel abdominal pains. The symptoms begin within six hours to six days after infection. They last four to seven days. If you experience these symptoms, you should contact a physician. You should also clean all surfaces, hands, and utensils after contact with flour or dough.
It is better that you check your pantry for any of the recalled products. Customers who bought the recalled products should dispose of them.If you’re one of the people who bought these products, you should contact General Mills.
