Honda has issued a voluntary recall of its off-road motorcycles. The company says around 40,700 units of these vehicles are being recalled.
Honda revealed there’s an issue with the handlebars. The grip can detach from the handlebar. This could cause crashes and injuries.
There are reports of a motorcycle crashing due to this issue. The crash resulted in a knee injury.
What Does the Recall Cover?
The recall affects 2023-2024 Honda off-road motorcycles. It covers the models CRF50F, CRF110F, and CRF125F. The CRF50F and CRF110F motorcycles come in red or white. The CRF125F is only available in red.
All the affected units feature the brand name “HONDA” on the seats. Owners can find the model number on the frame above the engine.
Users can find the vehicle identification number on the left side of the steering head.
The vehicles were being sold at Honda dealers nationwide. They were available from September 2022 to May 2024. The motorcycles cost anywhere from $1,700 to $3,900.

Honda is advising motorcycle owners to stop using the recalled motorcycles. They should also reach out to American Honda Motor for a free inspection. Honda will also schedule a repair appointment.
The company is also reaching out to all known purchasers of the affected models.
