Riverside Natural Foods Ltd. has moved to recall certain batches of MadeGood granola bars. The company is recalling them due to possible metal fragments in the health bars.
The issue came out when 7 customers complained about finding metal pieces in the bars. They weren’t injured by the small metal pieces though.
The company conducted a thorough investigation. It was later determined that possible contamination happened during the manufacturing process.
Riverside Natural Foods has improved procedures and testing protocols to end further problems. The food manufacturer also said the odds of finding metal in their granola bars are low.
The recall was a precautionary measure as the company prioritizes consumer safety.
What are the Affected Products?
Riverside Natural Foods has recalled different varieties of MadeGood granola bars. They were produced from January up to the previous month. The granola bars were then distributed and sold across Canada, the US, and across the world.
The company has recalled the chocolate bars, like the banana and chocolate chip. The Chocolate Drizzle flavor granola bars were also recalled. So were the Cookies & Crème, Mixed Berry, and Strawberry Granola Bars.
