The T.W. Garner Food Company has issued a voluntary recall of its Texas Pete Buffalo Wing Sauce. The recall reportedly affects 50,688 bottles of its popular sauce.
The company reported that some bottles might contain the company’s Extra Mild Wing Sauce. This particular product contains soy. The allergen is not listed on the bottle’s label.
There are no reported illnesses due to allergens yet. But people allergic or sensitive to soy are at risk of a severe allergic reaction to the product.
What are the Affected Products?
The company reported that some of the affected products are buffalo wing sauces in 12 oz. glass bottles. These carry the code number UPC 0 75500 10011 6. It has a best-used date of 120623T 065239. You can see the date printed on the product’s cap.
The recalled sauces were reportedly sold in retail stores in Alabama and Connecticut. They were also sold in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi. The company’s retail partners in North Carolina, and New York also carried the product. They were also sold in South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

T.W. Garner is advising consumers with an allergy or sensitivity to soy to stop using the product. They also asked customers to discard the bottles.
